Board Elections
Election season is now open. YPT Seattle is continually seeking leaders for opening board positions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain leadership experience, connect with other transportation professionals & enthusiasts, and plan fun events. For those new to the area and the organization, this is a great way to get involved and become integrated into the Seattle transportation community!

YPT Seattle Board Position Details
Lead Chair: Responsible for day-to-day implementation of the policy and guidelines of the board. The Chair shall preside over Chapter Board meetings and act as the chief official representative for YPT-Seattle.
Vice Chair: Prepare meeting minutes, keep accurate organization records, manage funds, report receipts and account balances, and manage the election process.
Director of Programs and Events: Responsible for the coordination and organization of dates, locations, and any necessary materials for YPT Seattle events.
Deputy Director of Programs and Events: Appointed by the Director of Programs and Events to assist with YPT Seattle events.
Director of Communications: Responsible for the management of graphic content creation, event registration pages, social media, the email newsletter, and the YPT Seattle email account.
Director of Membership: Responsible for the accurate management of memberships through YPT International’s CRM system and recruitment of new members.
Director of Sponsorship: Responsible for the maintenance and growth of sponsor relationships for YPT Seattle.
2027 YPT Election Timeline
Our next elections are fast approaching! Key details below:
Candidate submission forms open on September 18, 2026. Submission of this form is required if you wish to run for a local chapter or international role for 2027. Current board members need to submit their interest, as well.
Deadline for candidate submissions is due on September 28, 2026 by 11:59pm EDT.
Election ballots will be sent out by YPT International to eligible voting Members for all Chapter and International elections on October 18, 2026.
Elections will close on October 31, 2026 at 11:59pm EST.
Winners of local chapter and international elections will be announced on November 6, 2026.
Board Transition period will be from November 9 to December 31, 2026.
January 1, 2027: The new Board begins.
